Kenan Memorial Stadium

Conditional. Bags are discouraged, but a clear plastic/vinyl bag up to 12" x 6" x 12" or a small clutch up to 4.5" x 6.5" is allowed; camera bags, binocular cases, seat cushions with pockets, and clear backpacks (within the size limit) are also exempted. Max size: Clear bag: 12" x 6" x 12" (incl. gallon freezer bags); clutch: 4.5" x 6.5". Exceptions: Camera bags, binocular cases, seat cushions with pockets, and clear backpacks within the size limit are exempt from the clear-bag requirement

Conditional. Up to two unopened 20 oz. or smaller bottles of water per person are allowed in, and empty bottles may be brought in to refill at free water stations on the concourse. Max quantity: 2 bottles, 20 oz. or less each.

Not Allowed. Outside food and beverages are prohibited from being brought into Kenan Stadium (unopened water bottles are the only exception).

Allowed. Necessary medical items are allowed into Kenan Stadium following inspection at the entry gates.

Outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited, but beer and wine are sold inside the stadium (two drinks per transaction, sales stop at the start of the 4th quarter, ID checked for anyone 30 or under). Exceptions: Alcohol is available for purchase inside the stadium from gates-open until the start of the 4th quarter; limit two per transaction

Conditional. Non-collapsible strollers are prohibited; collapsible strollers are implicitly permitted. Wagons are not addressed in the official policy.

Allowed. A lactation room ("comfort room") is provided near Gate 2 in Kenan Stadium for nursing mothers.

Wheelchairs and mobility devices are accommodated; accessible seating is located in sections 100, 112-119, and 131, all entrances are accessible, and gate staff will relocate fans to accessible seating on request. Wheelchair-accessible vans/buses also run from the ADA parking lot to Gates 2 and 6

Conditional. Point-and-shoot cameras are permitted, but cameras with interchangeable lenses larger than 55 millimeters are not; video cameras may only be used during pregame and halftime. Max size: Interchangeable lens length: 55 mm (an earlier 2024 gameday guide stated 6 inches for the same rule — flagged discrepancy, current A-Z page treated as authoritative).

Conditional. Umbrellas are not allowed to be opened inside Kenan Stadium (closed/compact umbrellas are not addressed as separately prohibited).

Conditional. Artificial noise makers are prohibited. Signs and banners larger than 8.5" x 11", or with content deemed inappropriate by Game Management, are prohibited and may be confiscated (implying smaller signs are allowed). Max size: Signs/banners: 8.5" x 11" max.

Not Allowed. Folding chairs are prohibited inside Kenan Stadium; blankets are not addressed in the official policy.

Not Allowed. Weapons of any kind are prohibited inside Kenan Stadium.

Not Allowed. UNC Chapel Hill is a smoke-free campus; smoking, including e-cigarettes and other forms of electronic smoking, is prohibited within 100 feet of all campus venues and facilities, including Kenan Stadium.

Conditional. Pets are prohibited, but trained ADA service animals (and service animals in training, under NC law) are welcomed; they must be leashed/under handler control. Emotional support, therapy, and companion animals are explicitly not permitted.

Not Allowed. Re-entry is not permitted, except during a severe-weather evacuation: if lightning/inclement weather comes within 10 miles of the stadium, fans may leave to seek shelter and re-enter with their ticket stub once the weather passes. Exceptions: Severe weather evacuation allows temporary exit and re-entry with a ticket stub

Conditional. All permissible bags/containers are searched at entry and tagged once approved; any other item judged by Game Operations staff to pose a safety hazard or detract from others' enjoyment is prohibited. Carolina Athletics also partners with Evolv for advanced entry security screening.
