Clear plastic/vinyl/PVC bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" (logo up to 4" x 3.4"), or a small clutch up to 4.5" x 6.5", or a one-gallon clear freezer bag; exceptions made for medical items/diaper bags after security inspection. Max size: 12" x 6" x 12" clear bag (logo up to 4" x 3.4"), or 4.5" x 6.5" clutch, or 1-gallon clear freezer bag.

Michigan's concealed-pistol law only bars permit holders from dormitories/classrooms specifically, so WMU's broader campus-wide ban rests on the university's own institutional property authority rather than the state concealed-carry statute itself.
