Ford Field

Conditional. Only clear plastic/vinyl/PVC bags up to 12"x6"x12", a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a small clutch up to 4.5"x6.5" are allowed; all other bags including backpacks, purses, and diaper bags are prohibited. Non-compliant bags (backpacks, purses larger than a clutch, briefcases, diaper bags, fanny packs, cinch bags, duffel bags, luggage) are not permitted. Medically necessary items are exempted after inspection at a designated gate. Max size: 12" x 6" x 12" (clear bag) or 4.5" x 6.5" (small clutch/one-gallon clear freezer bag). Exceptions: Medically necessary items and infant supplies (in a clear bag) permitted after inspection at a designated gate; diaper bags themselves are not allowed.

Not Allowed. Outside beverages, including water bottles, are not permitted; guests must purchase water/drinks inside the stadium. Ford Field's prohibited items list bans 'food, beverages or liquids (cans, bottles, water bottles, flasks, cups, boxes, popcorn buckets, etc.)' from being brought in. Exceptions: Medically necessary liquids and infant formula/bottles (in a clear bag) permitted after inspection.

Not Allowed. Outside food is not permitted into Ford Field. Food and beverages of any kind are on the official prohibited items list; all food/drink must be purchased from stadium concessions. Exceptions: Medically necessary food items (e.g., for diabetic or allergy needs) and infant food/formula in a clear bag permitted after inspection.

Allowed. Medically necessary items are permitted after inspection at a designated gate, even if they would otherwise violate the bag or container policy.

Not Allowed. No outside alcohol (BYOB) is allowed; alcoholic beverages are sold at concessions to guests 21 and older with valid ID. Alcohol is listed among banned outside items. Purchasers must be 21+ and present a Driver's License, State ID, Passport, or Military ID.

Not Allowed. Marijuana, including medically prescribed cannabis, and related paraphernalia are strictly prohibited. Ford Field is a smoke-free facility under Michigan state law, which extends to marijuana use.

Not Allowed. Coolers of any kind are prohibited. Coolers are explicitly banned under both the NFL leaguewide policy and Ford Field's own prohibited items list. Exceptions: A small soft-pack cooler for breast milk is permitted for nursing mothers after inspection.

Not Allowed. Strollers, infant car seats, and carriers are not permitted inside Ford Field. Children age 2 and under may attend on a parent's lap without a ticket, but strollers/car seats/carriers themselves cannot be brought in. Wagons are not separately addressed in official materials.

Allowed. Ford Field has three dedicated Nursing/Breastfeeding Rooms plus a Mamava Nursing Pod, and pumping supplies (including a small soft-pack cooler for milk) are permitted after inspection. Two rooms are on Levels 4-5 of the Bodman South Suites (pass required from Gate A Guest Services); the third room and the Mamava Pod are at Gate B, Section 133. Other baby items (diapers, wipes, bottles) must be carried in a clear bag since diaper bags themselves are not allowed. Exceptions: Diaper bags are not permitted; baby items must go in a compliant clear bag.

Allowed. Guests may bring their own wheelchairs, scooters, canes, crutches, and walkers, and Ford Field offers accessible seating with elevator access. Wheelchair-accessible and companion seating is located at the top of sections on lower and upper concourses (marked row 'ADA'). Guests who don't need accessible seating can store a mobility device at the nearest Guest Services desk, but should not leave it unattended.

Conditional. Standard personal cameras are allowed, but cameras with lenses longer than 5 inches, detachable lenses, video recorders, tripods, wearable cameras/GoPros, and selfie sticks are prohibited. Max size: Lens length up to 5 inches.

Not Allowed. Drones and remote-controlled aircraft are strictly prohibited.

Conditional. Small/compact umbrellas are allowed; large umbrellas are prohibited. Max size: Compact/small size only.

Not Allowed. Noisemaking devices (bells, horns, kazoos, whistles) and large flags/banners are not permitted. Balloons, beach balls, footballs, and projectiles are also banned. Small handheld signs without poles are allowed. Exceptions: Handheld signs without poles are permitted.

Conditional. Seat cushions/chairs are not allowed, but blankets may be carried draped over the shoulders per the leaguewide clear bag exception. The NFL Clear Bag Policy explicitly allows fans to carry blankets draped over their shoulders without needing a bag.

Not Allowed. No firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed; violations result in confiscation, ejection, and possible arrest. Knives, box cutters, scissors, mace/pepper spray, and other aerosol/self-defense items are also prohibited.

Conditional. Ford Field is a smoke-free facility per Michigan law; smoking and e-cigarettes/vaping are banned inside the seating bowl but permitted in designated outdoor areas during Lions games. Designated outdoor smoking areas for Lions games are located at Gate D Level 1 (Sections 128/129) and Gate E (Section 225). Violators found smoking/vaping/chewing tobacco inside are subject to immediate ejection. Exceptions: Permitted only in designated outdoor smoking areas at Gate D and Gate E.

Conditional. Costumes are permitted but subject to inspection; masks and headwear that obstruct view must be removed, and items like swords, spikes, or capes attached to a costume are not allowed. Ford Field reserves the right to deny admission for costumes deemed offensive, lewd, or in poor taste, and may modify this policy at any time.

Conditional. Pets/animals are not permitted, but certified service animals assisting guests with disabilities are allowed. Exceptions: Certified service animals are permitted.

Not Allowed. Ford Field has a no re-entry policy for Lions games, with only a very limited exception for medical conditions. Medical re-entries are directed through First Aid stations. General re-entry is not permitted once a guest leaves the stadium during a game. Exceptions: Very limited re-entry for documented medical conditions via First Aid stations.

Conditional. Miscellaneous allowed items include small personal radios with an earpiece, non-disruptive tablets, and unaltered football helmets; laser pointers and permanent markers are prohibited.
