Conditional. Clear plastic/vinyl/PVC bags up to 12" x 6" x 12", or one-gallon clear Ziploc-style bags, or small clutch bags/wallets up to 4.5" x 6.5", are permitted, subject to search; purses, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, diaper bags, briefcases, computer/camera bags, and luggage are prohibited. Conditional. The University of Virginia prohibits smoking and vaping in all of its facilities on Grounds, per Policy SEC-028, but designated smoking areas exist at the Southwest and East gates.
