Petco Park

Conditional. Petco Park prohibits bags except single-compartment clear plastic bags no larger than 12"x6"x12", small clutches/purses no larger than 5"x7", and infant or medical bags. All bags are subject to inspection at entry gates in accordance with MLB security regulations. Max size: 12" x 6" x 12" (clear bag); 5" x 7" (clutch/purse). Exceptions: Infant bags and medical bags are exempt from the size/clear-material restriction.

Conditional. One factory-sealed, still, clear, and unflavored plastic water bottle of 1 liter (32 oz) or less is permitted per guest, plus one empty reusable water bottle (no glass, 1 liter max) that must be empty upon entry. Soft-sided single juice or milk containers, or ADA-required liquids in a sealed container, are also permitted. Max size: 1 liter (32 oz) max, sealed; reusable bottle also capped at 1 liter and must be empty.

Conditional. Outside food intended for individual (not group) consumption is permitted, but must be individually wrapped/bagged or in a single-serve soft-sided container complying with the bag policy, and no bulk packaging (pans, pizza boxes, etc.) is allowed. Food that could be thrown as a projectile (e.g., oranges, apples) must be sliced or sectioned. Outside food may not be brought into ballpark restaurants, club lounges, or suites.

Allowed. Medical bags and infant bags are exempt from the standard bag-size restriction, and guests with disabilities may bring factory-sealed containers with medically necessary liquids. First Aid Stations staffed by trained medical personnel are located at Section 108 and between Sections 129-131 (Padres Power Alley), with AED units posted throughout the ballpark.

Not Allowed. Outside alcohol is prohibited under California liquor regulations; security officers inspect bags/packages at every gate, and guests may not enter intoxicated or exit with alcoholic beverages. A guest who brings in outside alcohol may face immediate ejection without refund and revocation of season-ticket/future-ticket privileges.

Not Allowed. Drugs or illegal substances/paraphernalia — explicitly including medical marijuana — are prohibited under the Prohibited Items list. Despite California's recreational-cannabis legalization, Petco Park bans cannabis in all forms, the same hard-line stance as venues in non-legal states already on this site.

Conditional. Hard-sided coolers are explicitly prohibited; any soft-sided food/drink container must still comply with the standard bag-size limit (12"x6"x12"). Max size: 12" x 6" x 12" max for any soft-sided container (per bag policy).

Conditional. Strollers and wagons are welcomed provided they don't limit guest movement or block aisles; only wagons that can be pushed (not pulled) and have safety child restraints are allowed, and pull-wagons are prohibited. Wheelchairs, wagons, and strollers can be checked at Guest Services Centers (Sections 108, 131, 303, or Gallagher Square). Exceptions: Pull-type wagons without child safety restraints are not permitted.

Allowed. The Sharp Mary Birch Nursing Lounge, located in Terrace Suite 32, is available for nursing mothers at all Padres home games; baby changing tables are also available in all restrooms throughout the ballpark. The Nursing Lounge location is subject to change for certain non-baseball events.

Allowed. Wheelchairs and walkers are welcomed; Petco Park offers wheelchair-accessible seating, complimentary wheelchair escort service between gates and seats, wheelchair storage/lifts, and ADA power stations to recharge wheelchairs in accessible seating areas. Guests must bring their own charging cord to use the ADA electrical outlets.

Not Allowed. Segways, hoverboards, skateboards, scooters, razors, and roller blades are prohibited inside the ballpark; bicycles may only be parked at bike racks outside the perimeter, not brought inside.

Conditional. Non-professional still and video cameras are permitted for personal use provided lenses are no longer than 6 inches with no extra detachable lenses. The Padres reserve the right to request guests stop filming/photographing on ballpark property; special events may carry different rules. Max size: Lens no longer than 6 inches.

Not Allowed. Drones, remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicles, and other motorized vehicles/devices are prohibited.

Conditional. Small, collapsible umbrellas are allowed; any umbrella that blocks sightlines or becomes a nuisance to other guests is not permitted, and the Padres may ask guests to lower them. Exceptions: Large umbrellas that block sightlines or ballpark signage are barred under the Prohibited Items list.

Conditional. Noise-making devices (air horns, powered megaphones, bugles, drums, tambourines, musical instruments) are prohibited unless expressly authorized by the Padres; homemade signs/banners are welcomed if no larger than 4'x8', not commercial/political/obscene, not affixed to poles or sticks, and don't block sightlines or ballpark signage. Noisemaker ban is also codified locally under San Diego Municipal Code §59.0202(7). Padres have sole discretion to permit or remove any sign/banner. Max size: Banners/signs: 4' x 8' max.

Conditional. Lawn chairs or other rigid-framed seating devices are prohibited except for ADA needs or as approved by the Padres; blankets are not separately addressed in official Padres materials. Exceptions: ADA accommodations or Padres-approved exceptions.

Not Allowed. Firearms, knives of any type, sticks or clubs, toy guns/knives (including water guns), and other weapons (tasers, nunchaku, pepper spray, mace, expandable batons) are prohibited.

Not Allowed. Petco Park is a smoke-free facility, including vaping and e-cigarettes; use of chewing/smokeless tobacco and vaporizers is also prohibited.

Conditional. Only ADA-recognized service animals (a dog or miniature horse individually trained to perform disability-related tasks) or service animals in training are permitted; animals that solely provide emotional support or companionship are not permitted. A limited number of pets are allowed on select promotional dates (e.g., Bark at the Park) at the Padres' discretion. When Gallagher Square is open to the public, the City of San Diego enforces its municipal leash law (SDMC §63.0102(b)(2)). Exceptions: Pets permitted only on select promotional dates.

Conditional. Re-entry is permitted; guests must have their digital ticket scanned before exiting and scan back in to re-enter. Re-entry is prohibited once the game or event has concluded. On select giveaway days, the re-entry policy is not applicable until all promotional items have been exhausted or until the completion of the 3rd inning.

Conditional. Also prohibited: beach balls/inflatables, frisbees/footballs and other throwable sports devices, bubble-making devices, ball retrievers (except mitts), balls of any type except baseballs, balloons (unless Padres-approved), aerosol cans, non-credentialed microphones, amplified music/bullhorns/loudspeakers (unless approved), sports equipment of any kind (except gloves), wallet chains, tents (unless approved), and bats/brooms/wooden rods (small whisk brooms and souvenir bats are OK). Motorcycle helmets must be checked at Guest Services and are not permitted beyond that point.
