Citi Field

Conditional. Backpacks are banned except fully clear ones; other soft-sided bags are allowed up to 16"x16"x8". Purses, totes, drawstring bags, messenger bags, and non-backpack diaper bags remain permitted, along with fully clear backpack-style bags with no obscured inner pockets. All bags and hand-carried items are searched and limited to 16"x16"x8". Citi Field has no bag-check facility, though third-party locker rentals are available near the gates for a fee. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8". Exceptions: Fully clear backpacks, medical/ADA-approved backpacks (with security supervisor permission), and backpacks purchased inside the ballpark (valid that day only).

Conditional. One factory-sealed plastic water bottle (20 oz or less) may be brought in, plus one sealed juice box per child. Water bottles and juice boxes may not be frozen. Max quantity: 1 water bottle (20 oz or less) + 1 juice box per child. Exceptions: Bottles/juice boxes must be soft plastic, factory-sealed, and not frozen.

Conditional. The official guide places no blanket ban on outside food; it may be carried in a compliant bag or small soft-sided cooler. Guests with medical conditions or dietary restrictions may bring necessary food, which is checked by security at entry. Numerous concession options are also available inside. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8" (via permitted bag/cooler). Exceptions: Special food for medical/dietary needs is permitted subject to inspection.

Allowed. Medical supplies and ADA-related items are accommodated beyond the standard bag rules. A security supervisor may approve medical/ADA-related bag exceptions to the backpack ban and 16"x16"x8" size limit, and guests with medical dietary needs may bring necessary food or medication, subject to inspection at entry. Exceptions: Requires security supervisor approval at the gate.

Not Allowed. Outside alcoholic beverages may not be brought into Citi Field under any circumstances. Alcohol is sold inside the ballpark by the concessionaire, which enforces standard age and intoxication limits; consuming alcohol on surrounding sidewalks/parking lots is also illegal.

Not Allowed. Cannabis/marijuana may not be brought into Citi Field despite New York's state-level recreational legalization. The ballpark's policy bars 'alcoholic beverages and controlled or illegal substances' from entry, and smoking/vaping of any kind is separately banned inside the venue — no exception is carved out for cannabis.

Conditional. Hard-sided coolers are banned; small soft-sided coolers up to 16"x16"x8" are allowed. Glass bottles and metal cans/containers are also prohibited. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8". Exceptions: Empty, reusable metal water bottles and hollow can coolers are allowed despite the general metal-container ban.

Conditional. Strollers are permitted, but large or non-folding strollers should be checked at a Fan Assistance station rather than taken to the seat. Five Fan Assistance stations around the ballpark offer stroller storage. Official materials do not separately address wagons. Exceptions: Smaller/umbrella-style strollers may generally be kept with the guest; larger ones are directed to storage.

Allowed. Citi Field provides a dedicated nursing station for breastfeeding or pumping, and breast-pump equipment is accommodated under the medical/ADA bag exception. A private, air-conditioned nursing pod is available on the Empire Suite Level (across from Suite 213); any Fan Assistance station on a guest's seating level can direct them there regardless of where they're seated.

Allowed. Wheelchairs and electric mobility scooters are welcomed, with staff assistance and charging access provided. Citi Field offers wheelchair assistance from gate to seat, electrical outlets for charging scooters/wheelchairs on all levels, and 11 elevators serving every level.

Conditional. Small personal cameras are allowed; professional equipment, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and large boom microphones are prohibited. Cameras with detachable lenses longer than 6 inches are treated as professional equipment and barred. Max size: Detachable lens must be 6 inches or shorter.

Not Allowed. Drones are not permitted inside the ballpark, or in the parking lots, at any time.

Allowed. Umbrellas of any shape or size are permitted. Permitted as long as they do not interfere with another guest's enjoyment of the game.

Conditional. Noisemaking devices are banned, but cloth or paper banners/signs/flags without poles or rigid supports are allowed if they don't block other fans' views. Banners and signs must be made only of cloth, paper, or other light, flexible material — not wood, metal, or other hard materials. Exceptions: Flags/banners on poles or rigid supporting structures are not allowed.

Not Allowed. Weapons, pepper spray/mace, and lighters are prohibited items at Citi Field.

Not Allowed. Smoking, e-cigarettes, vaping pens, and smokeless tobacco are banned inside Citi Field. Violators face immediate ejection without refund and may lose ticket privileges.

Conditional. Pets are not permitted, except trained service animals, which must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered at all times. Service animals sit with their handler in the ticketed area rather than in aisles; guests can contact a supervisor at the Hodges entrance for relief-area directions. Exceptions: Trained service animals only — general pets/animals are prohibited.

Not Allowed. Guests who exit Citi Field are not allowed to re-enter.

Conditional. Disorderly conduct, foul language, field interference, and verbally provocative or inflammatory clothing are grounds for ejection (and possible arrest); commercial audio/visual equipment, laser pointers, and fireworks are also banned. Citi Field security leadership is consulted before ejection action is taken for clothing/conduct issues; the venue reserves the right to determine what items/attire are appropriate for entry.
