Conditional. Only small purses, clutches, or fanny-pack style bags smaller than 16.5cm x 11.5cm (6.5"x4.5") are permitted; larger bags must be checked or left behind. Max size: 16.5cm x 11.5cm (6.5" x 4.5"). Fee: $25 for bag check of non-compliant small bags. Exceptions: Bags needed for medical or other reasons may be permitted after security/x-ray inspection.

Conditional. Empty or soft (collapsible) water bottles are allowed and can be filled at concourse fountains, but hard-shelled water bottles are strictly prohibited. Exceptions: Empty/soft bottles only; hard-shelled bottles banned.

Conditional. Outside food and beverage are not permitted, except for fans with food allergies or medical conditions who require specific food/beverage items. Exceptions: Permitted for documented food allergies or medical conditions.

Allowed. Medical supplies and necessary medical items are accommodated; guests needing bags outside the standard bag policy for medical reasons can be admitted subject to security inspection.

Not Allowed. Outside alcohol cannot be brought in; only alcohol purchased inside the arena is permitted, and guests must be 19+ with valid photo ID. Alcohol sales stop at the start of the 3rd period (hockey) or 4th quarter (basketball); anyone found with outside alcohol is subject to immediate ejection.

Conditional. Cannabis can be brought into the building but cannot be consumed or used inside the venue at any time; smoking of any kind results in ejection. Exceptions: Possession allowed; consumption/smoking prohibited and results in ejection.

Not Allowed. Coolers are listed as a prohibited item.

Conditional. Strollers are allowed but must be checked; a designated stroller check area is set up near Gate 6 for family events, or at Fan Services at other times.

Allowed. Wheelchairs are available for use at Fan Services Desks (Level 100 and 300) for load-in/load-out, and the venue provides accessible seating, entrances, and washrooms.

Not Allowed. Hoverboards, rollerblades/roller-skates, and selfie sticks are listed as prohibited items.

Cell phone cameras are fine, but rules vary by event: NBA games prohibit detachable-lens cameras and flash photography; NHL games restrict still-photo lenses over 75mm and ban video cameras, GoPros, and selfie sticks; concerts ban iPads/tablets. Exceptions: Personal cell phone photos/video generally fine; professional/detachable-lens equipment, tripods, and large commercial video cameras are prohibited per the Code of Conduct.

Not Allowed. Remote controlled aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems (drones) are prohibited.

Conditional. Umbrellas larger than 12 inches in length are prohibited. Max size: 12 inches or smaller.

Noisemakers like whistles and horns are prohibited; signs/banners are allowed only if not affixed to poles or hard sticks and (for sports) don't exceed 22"x28", or 8.5"x11" for concerts, and must not contain vulgar, discriminatory, or political content. Max size: 22"x28" for sports events; 8.5"x11" for concerts. Exceptions: Signs/banners must not be affixed to any pole or stick of wood, metal, plastic, or other hard material.

Not Allowed. Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons and firearms, are prohibited; confiscated pocket knives will not be returned.

Not Allowed. Scotiabank Arena is a smoke-free building, including e-cigarettes/vapes, in all areas including restaurants, suites, and lounges; violators face ejection and fines under Ontario's Smoke-Free Act.

Conditional. Not directly addressed for personal phone power banks; the Code of Conduct prohibits professional-grade battery packs as part of professional camera equipment.

Conditional. Pets/animals are not permitted, with the exception of certified service animals individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability. Exceptions: Service animals with proper documentation are allowed.

Not Allowed. No re-entry is permitted once a guest has exited the arena gates; there are no in-and-out privileges.

Not Allowed. Additional prohibited items include fireworks/pyrotechnics, illegal drugs, projectiles, aerosol/pressurized cans, laser pointers, and inflatables like beach balls.
