Progressive Field

Conditional. Small bags not exceeding 16"x16"x8" are allowed; large bags and all hard-sided coolers are not permitted. Manufactured diaper bags, medical bags, fanny packs, and small handheld clutches (with or without a strap) are permitted. All bags are inspected and must fit within security templates at the checkpoint. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8". Exceptions: Diaper bags, medical bags, fanny packs, and small clutches allowed regardless of general bag rule, subject to search.

Conditional. One factory-sealed, clear plastic water bottle of 20oz or less is allowed per person; empty bottles are also fine, but stainless steel tumblers are banned. Cans, glass, squeeze bottles, and thermos bottles are prohibited. Water bottle filling stations are available throughout the ballpark. Max quantity: 1 bottle (20oz or less) per person. Exceptions: Empty plastic water bottles permitted; Stainless Steel Tumbler Cups (Yeti, Stanley, RTIC, Camelback, etc.) explicitly banned.

Conditional. Outside food is allowed into the ballpark, subject to security inspection. The Guardians explicitly encourage fans with food allergies/sensitivities to bring outside food. Outside food and beverages of any kind are not permitted into Premium Seating areas (Suites, Discount Drug Mart Champions Club, Victory Club). Exceptions: Not permitted in Premium Seating areas.

Allowed. Manufactured medical bags are permitted, subject to inspection. Listed as an explicit exception to the general bag-size restriction, alongside diaper bags.

Not Allowed. No outside alcoholic beverages of any kind may be brought into Progressive Field. Alcohol must be purchased inside the ballpark; violators are subject to ejection and prosecution.

Not Allowed. Cannabis is not addressed by name, but falls under the team's blanket ban: "No alcohol or illegal drugs may be brought into the gates." FLAGGED: The Guardians have no cannabis-specific official statement despite Ohio's recreational legalization; this entry is inferred from the general 'Alcoholic Beverages and Illegal Drugs' prohibited-items language, since cannabis remains federally illegal.

Conditional. Hard-sided coolers are banned, but soft-sided coolers are permitted, subject to inspection. Officially stated in the context of accommodating fans with food allergies: "Soft-sided coolers are permitted into the ballpark, subject to inspection." Hard-sided coolers appear on the official Restricted Items list. Exceptions: Soft-sided coolers allowed; hard-sided coolers of any size are not.

Conditional. Strollers are permitted; fold-up strollers must be stored under the seat, and non-folding strollers must be checked at a gate or Fan Services location. Strollers may not be left in aisles or block aisle access. Wagons are not separately addressed in the official policy.

Allowed. Wheelchairs are provided free at all gates on a first-come, first-served basis, and accessible seating with companion seats is available throughout the ballpark. Wheelchairs are for transport only and cannot be kept at the seat during the game; fans can request wheelchair transport back to a gate via Fan Services. No reservations accepted.

Not Allowed. Action sports equipment — including skateboards, roller blades, scooters, and roller skates — is not permitted.

Conditional. Cameras with lenses under 100mm are allowed, but tripods, monopods, and telephoto lenses (100mm or larger) are not. Use must not interfere with the game or other fans' enjoyment; all camera equipment and bags are subject to inspection. Commercial resale of photos/video is prohibited. Max size: Lenses under 100mm.

Conditional. Personal-sized umbrellas (roughly 24"-30" span, covering one person) are allowed, but may only be opened during a rain delay when the tarp is covering the field. Larger, golf-sized umbrellas are prohibited. Max size: ~24"-30" span (personal size). Exceptions: Golf-sized umbrellas banned; personal umbrellas may only be opened during a rain delay with tarp on the field.

Conditional. Banners and signs are allowed under content/placement restrictions, but noisemaking devices (air horns, cowbells, whistles, bugles, bats) are banned. Banners cannot contain obscene, political, or commercial messages, cannot be hung from the Upper Deck face in front of 400 sections, and cannot be hung in Premium Seating areas. The Guardians reserve the right to remove any sign/banner. Noisemaking devices will be confiscated.

Allowed. Blankets are explicitly permitted. Stadium/folding chairs are not separately addressed in the official policy.

Not Allowed. All weapons are prohibited, including knives of any size and firearms — this ban extends even to individuals with a concealed carry permit. Off-duty/retired law enforcement officers may bring a firearm only after declaring themselves and being vetted by the Cleveland Police Department at the gate; private citizens with concealed carry permits are turned away and logged in the incident system. Toy guns and swords are also prohibited. Exceptions: Vetted off-duty/retired law enforcement officers only, via CPD approval procedure.

Not Allowed. Progressive Field is a non-smoking facility; e-cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, and any device that mimics smoking are also banned, as is chewing tobacco. Fans who need to smoke must use the Left Field re-entry gate to leave the park.

Conditional. Only trained and certified service animals are permitted; no other pets are allowed. "The Cleveland Guardians welcome service animals to Progressive Field. No other animal is permitted to enter." Exceptions: Trained, certified service animals only.

Conditional. Re-entry is allowed, but only through a dedicated gate at the Left Field Gate, where the ticket/seat locator is scanned on exit and re-scanned on return. On gate-giveaway nights, exiting fans have their ticket marked so they cannot receive a second promotional item upon re-entry.

Not Allowed. Several miscellaneous items are banned: poles/sticks, laser pointers, inflatable objects (beach balls, inflatable brooms), brooms, butterfly/other nets, wrapped gifts, aerosol/pressurized cans, and portable fans over 5 volts DC. Action sports equipment (skateboards, roller blades, scooters, roller skates) is also banned. Motorcycle helmets ARE permitted but must be checked in at a gate or Fan Services and cannot be carried elsewhere in the ballpark.
