Great American Ball Park

Conditional. Soft-sided bags no larger than 16"x16"x8" are permitted; backpacks with multiple pockets are prohibited. Purses, food bags, briefcases, drawstring bags, and Reds Heads Kids Club bags are allowed within the size limit. Backpacks are barred unless specifically designed for medical or infant care. All carry-in items are subject to inspection upon entry or at any time inside the ballpark. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8". Exceptions: Medical bags and diaper bags are exempt from the backpack ban.

Conditional. Unopened, non-alcoholic drinks in sealed plastic bottles are permitted; glass bottles, cans, and opened bottles are not. Soft-sided coolers containing sealed, non-alcoholic bottled drinks are also allowed as long as the cooler is within the 16"x16"x8" bag-size limit.

Allowed. Outside food is permitted, including in soft-sided coolers/bags carried in under the standard size limit. Guests may bring soft-sided coolers containing food and/or sealed, non-alcoholic drinks, consistent with MLB's more permissive approach to outside food compared to NFL venues. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8" (if carried in a bag/cooler).

Allowed. Bags designated for medical purposes are exempt from the standard bag-size and backpack restrictions.

Not Allowed. Outside alcohol is prohibited; alcohol may only be purchased inside from concessions by guests 21 and older. Absolutely no glass bottles, cans, or alcoholic beverages may be brought into the ballpark. Concession alcohol sales are limited to 2 beverages per customer per transaction, and sales end after the 8th inning or 3 hours after the scheduled start of the game, whichever comes first.

Cannabis is not permitted; the ballpark's prohibited-items list bans "illegal substances or similar paraphernalia," and Great American Ball Park is designated a completely non-smoking facility under Ohio law. The official guide does not name cannabis specifically — this is grounded in its general ban on illegal substances/paraphernalia plus the blanket ban on smoking or vaping "of any substance" inside the ballpark. Ohio's 2023 recreational-legalization law does not override the venue's own substance and smoking restrictions.

Conditional. Only soft-sided coolers within the 16"x16"x8" bag-size limit are allowed; hard-sided coolers of any size are completely prohibited. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8" (soft-sided only). Exceptions: Contents must be food and/or sealed non-alcoholic drinks; coolers cannot be left unattended.

Allowed. Great American Ball Park has two nursing suites with private areas for moms and babies to breastfeed. Suites feature comfortable gliders, sinks, ice and refrigeration, and private restrooms.

Allowed. Great American Ball Park is fully accessible, with accessible seating available throughout the seating bowl. Accessible seating areas are equipped with electrical outlets.

Not Allowed. Hoverboards are listed as a prohibited item at Great American Ball Park.

Conditional. Personal still cameras are permitted within the standard 16"x16"x8" bag limit; tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are prohibited. Recording game action is not permitted, as required by Major League Baseball. Max size: 16" x 16" x 8" (if carried in a bag).

Not Allowed. Drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) are prohibited, per FAA Temporary Flight Restrictions and FAA drone regulations.

Noisemakers such as thundersticks, air horns, whistles, and clappers are prohibited (hand-held cowbells are permitted); baseball-themed signs/banners are allowed if they don't obstruct views or contain commercial, political, or derogatory content. Banners cannot be displayed in the batter's eyesight, hung over outfield fences, or brought onto the playing field, and must be foldable to comply with the 16"x16"x8" bag limit. Exceptions: Hand-held cowbells are permitted noisemakers.

Not Allowed. Firearms and other deadly weapons are prohibited, including for guests with a concealed-carry license. It is illegal under Ohio law to possess a firearm or other deadly weapon on Great American Ball Park property, and this applies even to CCW license holders.

Conditional. Great American Ball Park is a completely non-smoking facility under Ohio law; smoking or vaping of any substance is not permitted inside the ballpark. Exceptions: A designated smoking area is available outside Gapper's Alley (Gate B) for guests using re-entry.

Conditional. Costumes and costume masks are prohibited, except during specific Reds-themed events at the ballpark. Full bodysuits are also prohibited regardless of event. Exceptions: Permitted during specific Reds-designated themed events.

Conditional. Service dogs and miniature horses assisting guests with disabilities are permitted; other animals, including comfort/emotional-support animals, are not. Exceptions: Trained service dogs and miniature horses only.

Not Allowed. Additional prohibited items include frisbees, beach balls and other inflatable devices, laser pens/pointers, sticks/bats/poles/clubs, pocketknives, and explosive materials or devices. Aerosols are also generally prohibited, though spray sunscreen and bug spray are specifically permitted.
